arohi went to her room to freshen up while Rajdeep sat in the living room with her parents.

"How's work going?" her father asked.

"It's going well," Rajdeep replied, polite and composed.

Their voices blended into a calm conversation.

Aarohi descended the stairs slowly,

Her eyes found him before she could stop herself.

The way he ran his hand through his hair,the way he leaned slightly forward while speaking.

The quiet confidence in his voice her fingers tightened around the railing.

"Aaru." Vanya's voice snapped her out of it.

She quickly looked away, swallowing the lump in her throat, and walked toward the kitchen.

In the kitchen, she cleared her throat, pretending to search for something in the cabinets.

"Why are you staring like that?" Vanya whispered asked as she notice her behaviour.

Aarohi stiffened. "I wasn't," she said quickly - too quickly, but her heart knew otherwise.

But she was from the living room Rajdeep's laughter echoed faintly And

without thinking, her lips curved slightly, She hated that her body reacted before her mind could stop them.

The way he spoke respectfully to her father, the way he listened instead of interrupting.

The way he carried himself without trying too hard, She shook her head lightly.

"Stop it," she whispered to herself.

But when she stepped out of the kitchen again, her eyes searched for him before she could stop them.

And that scared her a little.

After a sometime later rajdeep stood up to leave at it was getting late.

"I should get going." He said with polite smile.

Aarohi stayed in the hallway pretending to check something on her phone, her father walked him to the door.

But she didn't move she didn't speak she just listened to the sound of his footsteps fading, as his footsteps fade completely.

She slipped in her room and walked towards the window the curtains moved slightly as she pulled aside, from the window she saw him walking toward his car.

As his car disappear in the evening she let out breath she didn't realise she was holding.

"What's wrong with me."

In the morning the sun glow bright outside the window aarohi moving around in the room as she was getting late for her college she haven't sleep at night thinking about the sudden change in her behaviour why she was reaction like that with rajdeep?"

The question eating her live whole night and that's the reason she didn't sleep well and now she is getting late

As she hurry to leave the house for college her mother called for breakfast but she didn't hear it and gets in the car

The car leaving the city behind her eyes fixed out of the window and despite of herself her mind went back to yesterday incident where rajdeep cared for her injuries she touched her forehead where the bandage she applied a smile ghost on her lips

As aarohi lost in her thoughts the car suddenly jark off, she gasped in shock and look at the driver.

"Sorry mam," the driver apologies sincerely. " I'll check the car engine."

Please do fast I'm already getting late for my college." She said her voice impatient , the driver went to check car engine aarohi pulled out her phone and started scrolling through her instagram.

A idea popped in her mind and before she could stop herself her fingers moved to search his I'd her heart beat racing fast as she saw his I'd she tape on his profile where he was wearing doctor white coat she was too lost to admiring him.

That she didn't notice a car pulled beside hers until a gentle knock on window make her turn her attention to the sounds

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him infront of her window the phone slips from her hands and landed on her laps she blinked

Rajdeep give her sign to open window she swallows before rolled the window down.

Where are you going?" He asked leaning down at the level of car window

I'm going for college but my car stoped in the middle." She replied,

may be there is some problem in engine." he said straighting up

" Let's go I'll drop you." Her breath catch in her throat at his sudden offor.

Before she could denie he open the door for her and grab her bag

She opens her mouth to protest when her driver voice shattered the silent tension she was feeling from his presence.

"Mam i don't think car will be start any time soon." The driver said before adding. " Why don't you go with rajdeep sir?"

Rajdeep nodded his head in agreement and look at her.

Are you coming with me?" He asked and she nodded slowly in response.

She grab her phone on her laps that slipped early her heart thunder against her chest when she saw her like on his Instagram story

Panic rushed through her she unlike the story switch off her phone, rajveer eyes frowned slightly slightly at her hurried action but shrugged off thinking she behaving like because she is getting late for her college

Are you coming?" He asked

She nodded.

As they both settle in his car her eyes fixed out of the car window but whenever she thinks he is focused on the road she secretly look at him.

Baby girl which college is yours?" Rajdeep asked as he reached to search location

Huh?" Her heart flutter at the nikname despite she heard few daya ago.

"Your college name?" He asked again looking at her before focusing on the road.

"Let..me.'.she search her college location before lean back to the seat.

"Uh... why you call..me..baby girl?"

She asked her fingers tight slightly around her bag.

Why you don't like it?" Rajdeep asked  drifting the car her heart drop as his hand moved on the string wheel in circle motion.

No..no.. it's not like that." She protest quickly too quickly, before adding.

I mean we just met few days ago then baby girl?" She asked hesitatedly.

A deep chuckled escape from rajdeep lips making her heart drops.

"If you forget i know you since your kid and I'm calling you baby girl when your six years old." He responded aarohi's cheek flashed slightly.

Yeh...i.. forget." She murmured looking out of the window rajdeep smile slightly and his hand reached to ruffle her hair gently, unware that how his smallest actions affecting her.

When the car reach her college rajdeep  help her to step out of the car

"Bye baby girl." He said softly looking down at her with soft smile

She nodded and respond with same soft smile.

He looks around and his smile face vanished and his expression turned cold when he saw few girls checking him out

Aarohi notice his sudden change in expression and followed his gaze a hint of irritation flicker  in her eyes before she school herself to neutral expression.

You should go." She said opening door for him

Rajdeep eyes winded in suprise at her action his expression soft when he look back at her he nodded and get in the car.

Take care."  He said and she smiled in response.

As the days passed he became the reason behind her cheerfulness.

and somewhere she knew he became the the reason behind her every smile and she couldn't stop herself to think about him.

Everytime she makes excuses to go hospital and meet him.

It's was like every other day when she went hospital with her so called excuse, she saw him standing at the reception signing on some peppers.

She smiled herself and walked over him. While he was busy signing on the pepars but suddenly the pen stop working. His eyebrows frowned he check once again and sighs softly as he realize the pen is out of ink.

Aarohi gently tapped on his shoulder rajdeep turn around his eyes winded as he see her. " Aarohi you again"

Her cheeks flushed slightly at his words she blinked and handed him her pen, he looks down at the pen and couldn't help but smile slightly the pen had a small apple keychain it was cute pen.

He took the pen from her and and turned around to sign it on the remain papers.

Aarohi was admiring him as always the world paused for her as she lost looking at him.

As rajdeep down the pepars and about to turn around to face her when a familiar voice called his name.

"Raj." The sound of someone calling him make Aarohi's thought shattered she blinked and turn around to look who is.

As she turned she finds a beautiful girl wearing a black tank top and pants she was beautiful a girl.

Before aarohi mind think properly the girl throw herself on rajveer who laughed out and wrapped his arms around the girl with a smile on his face that aarohi didn't get to see all this weeks.

Aarohi freze at her place her mind racing with thousands of questions and a hint of fear in her heart she hold her breath letting the truth reavel itself.

After what it felt like a hours for aarohi rajveer break the hug from the girl, the smile didn't leave his face as he was looking at the girl making aarohi heart ached in way she never thought she would feel again.

"Missed me." The girl said teasingly wrapping her arms around his neck.

He chuckled softly and wrapped his arms around the girl's waist.

" Yes i missed my girlfriend soo much," he confirmed.

Aarohi's heart shattered in pieces she stood there with pain tears filed in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall, she blinked back those tears.

Rajdeep and the girl was busy talking to each other looking perfect couple the way rajveer's thumb lovingly carsing the girl's cheek, the Way he was listening to her every small talk forgetting about aarohi's presence making her heart squeeze painful.

After few minutes later she clearly her throat to announce her presence, rajveer and the girl paused in mid track of their conversation at the throat clear noice.

The girl look at aarohi and then him in confussion and suprise at the sudden interput, rajdeep blinked and then turned to aarohi his an arm still wrapped around the girl's waist.

"Ohh I'm sorry i forgot your also here," he said rubbing his back of neck.

It's alright, if you forget about me." Aarohi muttered under her breath her expression unreadble underlying the pain' she is good at hiding her emotions.

Huh?" He raised his eyebrows, aarohi just shak her head. " Nothing."

"By the way meet naira my girlfriend." He introduced with big smile playing on his face, her jaw tight at " my girlfriend" as if controlling herself not to break down.

On the other hand naira smiled genuinely and extended her hand to shak with a friendly smile. " Hey, I'm naira."

Aarohi hesitatedly briefly before Shak her hand with naira gently. " Hi, I'm aarohi,"

Naira nodded, aarohi pulled her hand back.

"By the how you know him?" Naira asked with couristy in his eyes.

"Uh.... Our grandmother's their best friend's that's why." Aarohi responded

Naira nodded slowly and before she could ask any further questions.

"Sorry aarohi but we have to go bye." Rajdeep cut off her in mid track before aarohi could say anything he walked away from her with naira unware of the heart break standing behind him.

Aarohi stepped out of the hospital her face pale, she wasn't jealous at naira there was no anger nothing except numbness.

the cold wave hit her face people around her walking beside her, but she didn't notice anything the picture of rajveer and naira flashing across her mind over and over.

She was too lost in her heart break that she didn't notice karan leaned against his car,he was waiting for her since a ten minutes.

"Miss bhootni kaha?" He called her loudly as he noticed her expression and he knows his little sister enough to tell that something happened with her.

Translate:- "miss ghost where?"

Aarohi blinked and look at karan and seeing her brother the emotions she was controlling, shattered without thinking she rushed to him and hug him tightly burying her face in his chest as she breakdown in her brother's arms completely.

Karan freze at her sudden breakdown he blinked processing her behaviour, but he didn't ask questions knowing it's not good time to ask questions so.

he gently wrapped his arms around her shoulder his other hand holds her back of head protectivly against his chest, as aarohi cry like a kid.

After few minutes later her tears soaked on his shirt he gently pulled back, cupped her face brushing tears away with his thumbs.

"What happened" he asked his voice calm carring a confusion and protectiveness.

She just shok her head her eyes puffy red from crying her lower lip trembling as if she still holding herself, karan sighs softly and pulled her in comforting embarce.

"Tell me." He whispered running his hand through her hair, "who makes you cry and I'll break their mouth." He joked to make her mood light but their was adge of seriousness.

She froze, "N..no one," she whishpered against his chest her fiest clenched his shirt tightly and that's was enough for karan that she didn't want to talk about whatever happen to her so he just hold her for now.
